Experience the joy of Mom & Baby Yoga….
The “fourth trimester” is a special time for moms and their babies. Learn how to assist women with specific yoga asana and pranayama designed for the postpartum weeks, and how to facilitate much needed community for new moms.
It takes nine months to grow a baby, but it takes about a YEAR for the body and mind to fully return to the "non-pregnant" state. Learn how to adjust and modify asana and pranayama for the postpartum weeks and how yoga helps to address the needs, transitions and challenges during this time of life. This training covers the considerations of yoga practice during the entire first year after birth, and ways baby can participate in the practice.
PARTICIPANTS LEARN:
Physiological changes that occur after the birth of a baby.
Common topics of concern among new moms (such as pelvic floor restoration, upper body tension, and sleep deprivation), and how to address these concerns in a yoga practice.
How to set up and teach a safe, nurturing yoga class that is beneficial for brand new moms and their babies.
Ways to include baby in the yoga practice and facilitating bonding.
THIS TRAINING PROVIDES:
Earn 12.5 Yoga Alliance CE hours
Five 2.5-hour sessions
Fridays January 10, 17, 24, 31 and February 7 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm Eastern Time
PRE REQUISITES
200-hour basic yoga teacher certification
Prenatal yoga certification recommended, but not required
